Powered by 500 hp Detroit Diesel engine.
This is also the first enclosed cab engine purchased by the Department.

1000 gal. tank and 1000 gpm Waterous pump.
Two of these vehicles were purchased together and one currently for sale. The twin was sold in 2009.
Traffic 56 (former Rescue)
1989 Ford F350
460 hp V8 Gasoline engine.
Vehicle was purchased from Hawley Fire Company in 2000 with all rescue equipment included. This unit is currently our Traffic 56 used for traffic control by Fire Police. As a Rescue, it was replaced by a 2001 Pierce Quantum purchased in 2018 from former Balt. Co. Boring VFC.

This Unit was refurbished in 1991 after an accident and the departments only line of duty death.
As a Special Unit/drafting unit, it's primary function is to establish a water source for filling tankers on larges fires. It also responds to augment on Brush fires.
